Protective Coatings

Protective linings and coatings

Sewer gas eats concrete. A lined structure lasts decades longer, and there are two ways to line one: cast it in, or spray it on. We do both.

Cast in: Armorlok

Armorlok is a flexible liner cast into the concrete as it is poured, locked in mechanically rather than glued on. It rides through decades of severe service because it is part of the piece, not a coat on top of it.

Sprayed on: Utilithane, Raven, Warren

For spray-applied protection we shoot Utilithane polyurethane and Raven and Warren epoxies, in the yard on new pieces or in the field inside the structure.

Spark tested, every time

A pinhole in a liner is a place for gas to start working. Every lined piece is spark tested before it goes into service, so the barrier is proven continuous instead of assumed.
